Jacob is 3 Candles

We were talking to Jacob about his birthday and his cake. We told him there was going to be three candles on his cake because he is now 3 years old. After that whenever someone asked him how old he was he would say 3 candles!

Some of his cousins have little cars like these and he loved them so much. While we were in Orem on Jacobs birthday I decided to check target for some and we bought a pack. Jacob was so excited!

3 candles, sprinkles and a plane. Best. Cake. Ever!

I was all set to make chocolate cake for Jacob when he saw a cake mix at the store that was rainbow cake and he had to have it! Good thing his parents love him so much.

Jacob was blessed with lots of fun presents but this is for mom. She got him this train to go with the tracks she got him for Christmas. He loves the animals.

Happy birthday my sweet boy!
We went to the Dr just recently is he too old to do stats?
He is 38 inches tall and 32 pounds! Which is pretty average.

Mae also went to the Dr she is 32 1/2 inches tall and 22 pounds. She is also pretty average except her weight was a little lower then average but nothing to be worried about! We sure love her too.

Christmas

Christmas this year was a strange one. We had gammy and Papas gifts early and then we did Christmas Day early because we were going to a cabin that didn't have much room and we didn't want to lug all our stuff up there just to haul it back. I believe it was the best way to do it but it still made Christmas a little weird. Here is our Christmas!
We saw Santa!

"Christmas Morning"

Uncle Devin had us for Christmas this year.

He had a lot of fun picking our presents... especially Jacobs.

Mae has some pretty stinking cute hand-me-downs. Her is her Christmas "Santa" dress.

Christmas Eve jammies we opened at the cabin but didn't get a picture of them till after we were home.

Christmas at the Cabin. Jared's mom and dad had just got home from their mission in Belize so they rented a cabin so most of their kids could be together. The cabin was in McCall Idaho and it was nice to be together. It was also very crazy.

I made sure to bring some Townsend traditions like sugar cookies and breakfast casserole.

Christmas Eve Jacob was so exhausted from all the fun we were having he fell asleep and would not wake up to open his jammies.

We made sure to bring our stockings so Santa could fill them.

After a few short days were back on the road home.

Daddy was working New Years Eve so we celebrated a tiny bit with cookies and hats and then the kids went to bed while mommy welcomed the new year by watching chick flicks...

And last but not least we had sauerkraut for dinner to bring us good luck.
