Yellowstone National Park

We had a very fun but short trip to Yellowstone with Granny and Grandpa and aunt Mona.
We got a room along side this beautiful river. Wednesday morning we woke up bright and early and headed out to Yellowstone National Park.

I have never been before and everyone else had been maybe once before a long time ago. So our first stop was Old Faithful. We made it 10 min before it went off.

Mae made some friends in the front row who didn't speak much English which was ok because Mae doesn't speak much English yet either.

We had a nice picnic lunch and then headed back out.

We didn't see as many animals as we would have liked. I heard the best time to go is in the fall so maybe we will go back.

Alexander and Jacob were the best of friends on this trip. They held hands the whole way on this 1/3 of a mile hike. Jumping over things, getting dirty together and just being boys.

We were all pretty tiered near the end but didn't want to go back to the small hotel room. Luckily we found this nice spot on the river and went swimming for awhile. Jacobs favorite part of the day.

After this we went into town and got some souvenirs and a little dinner and headed on back to the hotel. We left Thursday morning and had an unexpected adventure. Our transmission had been going out and it finally gave up on us right in front of a rest stop (what a blessing that was). We were towed from there to Pocatello Idaho where Granny and Grandpa had some friends from the mission who recommended a shop and we went and had some lunch with them. We rented a car to get us home and we made it safely. Now we are all sunburned and ready to have a day or two to relax.
