Happy Holidays!

Ok so i haven't bloged in over a month! i'm sorry. i went home for thanksgiving and we just keep getting closer and closer to the wedding. theres pictures on my sisters (kristen) blog about thanksgiving if you would like to look. That trip was mostly wedding stuff with the traditional thanksgiving traditions thrown in there. i have one picture that i did take over that trip of my two CUTE nephews. this was Eithan's first ride in a shopping cart.

Jared and I went to Salt Lake to see the lights with Jen and Micheal on saturday! we didn't think that saturday would be the busiest day. it was. but we still had a good time. jen and micheal got better pictures on their awesome new cannon camera! hopefully they will blog them soon. this is what i got!

well I'm pretty sure i won't blog till after the wedding which might be a while so have a happy Christmas and a happy new year!

Happy Halloween!

Well as much as i don't like Halloween this one was pretty good. I throughly enjoyed getting dressed up. one year Kendle and i were super heroes and we had the coolest eyelashes. we wanted to do something this year with really cool eyelashes so we went and bought eyelashes as soon as they were at walmart the beginning of October. So we've been trying to think of things to be that would go with our eyelashes. the best idea we had was cats. i wanted Jared to match me and i couldn't think of anything for him to be. i asked Kristen a couple days ago and she suggested a butterfly and a butterfly catcher. it was brilliant! the eyelashes we had gotten were totally bug eyelashes. i told Kendle and she came up with the idea of a ladybug! super cute. I then told jared the idea and he wanted something more manly and fierce... something with a sword. last night we went to go get him a sword and it was big and ugly so i tried to convince him to be something better then a man with a big ugly sword. i won as usual.. I'm lucky to have Jared who loves me enough to give into what i want without too much begging and pestering. so instead of a bug catcher we made him a stick bug! we were the best dressed at our ward party by far!Hope you all had a happy Halloween!

The Wall

Kristen started this tradition. My parents have an engagment picture where they were in this pose and kristen did the same thing and made both of them black and white and framed them. Jen did it when she got engaged and now its my turn. i forgot to get Anna to do it so my roommate kendle did it for us. this was the best one i thought. so this post is mainly for my sisters and mom. i just want to know what they think...

Pumpkins!

We carved Pumpkins on Friday! I don't really like Halloween. i don't know why its never been a favorite holiday. i don't like haunted house, i don't really like scary movies and i don't like the dead corpses hanging from porches and blood on the windows and skulls. i do like pumpkin carving and cute fun decorations. i must say carving pumkins is my favorite!

i think i found them

Ok so theres a very good chance that there will be no more shoe drama. i ordered these today. we will see when they get here but i have a very good feeling about them...

Shoe Drama

Ok so i haven't had that much drama with my wedding. things have been laying out in front of us so nicely until now. I can't find shoes for my wedding dress! the seamstress told me i could only have 1 to 2 inches of heel and i was like pshhh no way! so i found these super cute way cheap AMAZING heels. they matched perfectly and even had some brown on them. (i would post a picture but i already took them back) they were too tall. I have bridals today. i found these shoes on Thursday and didn't try them on with the dress until Sunday night. all Monday i looked for brown, flat or a teeny tiny heeled shoes. nothing. Tuesday, nothing. I have this pair of shoes that I've had for awhile. they are bronze, pointy toed, tiny heel shoes. they're one of my favorites and the perfect height for my dress so I'm wearing them today and if all else fails i will be wearing them on my wedding day. They really aren't as bad as they look.

Random stuff i was supposed to blog about and never did...

all right so i haven't blogged anything interesting in a while. even though there's stuff that needs to be blogged. so here's mostly everything to make up for that.

I went home to plan wedding stuff and hang out with the family! we got tons done and we even saw a movie in 3D!

Jared and I went to Anna's house so she could take pictures of us for the wedding guest book that she is making and the picture frames on the tables. they look amazing! she is so talented! For the start of fall i made caramel apples! A fall must. it is not fall without caramel apples and stew. which we had when Jared's parents came into town and we had dinner at his aunts house.


Also at Anna's House we got the pictures of Jared that we needed to make our wedding slide show. these are our baby pictures...
For conference kendle's family came into town and took us out to dinner. thanks Farr's!
They also took us to a session of conference. the Saturday morning one. it was amazing. unfortunately it was cold and rainy so walking around temple square wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been but it was still beautiful.

wedding update

so i haven't blogged in forever and I'm not sure what I'm going to be blogging about now. i get ideas and then want to blog but don't have time. its sad especially because when i do find time to blog i don't remember what i wanted to blogged and then i don't!
Well we've gotten alot more done then just finalizing the wedding date. I've got my dress that I'm in love with but i still need to get the fittings done. I've got flowers picked out and colors picked out that I'm way excited for. Brown and Orange.. now before you go off thinking about fall colors and whatever let me specify its a chocolate brown and a creamcicle orange. we are also going to throw in some yellow and green. we've got our photographer. hes the same guy that did my sisters weddings so we know he'll do a good job we recently got our engagement pictures done and are in the process of picking them out for our invitations. speaking of pictures we got to drive to Idaho and visit Jared's sister Anna. she is making our guest book that will have pictures of us in it too. shes an awesome photographer i think we got some good ones that weekend. My mom found someone in Tucson that decorates for LDS weddings she has a blog and she does a really good job so that's one thing we don't have to worry about as well. everything is falling into place very nicely I'm excited to see how it all turns out. on the other had i just can't wait for it to be over! I'm so done with my ward. don't get me wrong they are good people and they are all super cute but when someone finds out you're engaged its like welp they're leaving soon anyways so why make friends with her... well that's the attitude I've gotten so far. maybe i should try a little harder. well that's just about it for this blog I'm sorry it hasn't been that interesting as of late!

DECEMBER 19!

we got the temple scheduled and we've got the photographer scheduled! it looks to me like everythings coming together nicely. we still have 5 months for something to go wrong but we'll see what happens....

Happy Birthday Kendle!

Kendle has been my best friend for a long time. Ever sense my junior year! We've been through alot together. We've laughed. We cried. We've had some freakin good times. We've changed alot and yet we are still just as good of friends and we will be for a long time to come! I'm so happy shes in Utah now and I'm so sorry i went and got engaged so its not how we thought it was going to be but its still been good. I'm so glad shes here to help me prepare for a wedding. Especially finding a wedding dress! I love you Kendle!

So for Kendles 21st birthday we HAD to do something special. we went to the ZOO! we were both way freakin excited!

Here's some of the animals we saw! they had an albino alligator! they called it the ghost of the bayou...legend has it that anyone gazing onto the blue eyes of the rare white alligator will be blessed with good luck for the coming year, and prosperity will surely fallow. ooooo! They also had really cute little monkeys and a really cool giraffe house where you could go upstairs and look into their faces. It was a way fun zoo.

we went to the elephant show. there was supposed to be two elephants doin stuff but the other one didn't feel like it so he walked away...

We also got dippin dots which is my favorite thing in the whole world! they need to sell it more places. and rode on the train around discovery land!! it was way fun!

there was a pretty sweet gift shop too..

canoeing

a long time ago a bunch of us went canoeing. i'm not sure if thats how you're supposed to spell that... i just got the pictures from jared so now i can blog about it. Spencer had done this before so he made the rest of us go. it was Jared and I in one, Annika and Kendle in one and Spencer and Brian in the other. Jared and I are supoer good rowers now that we know how to white water raft so we were speeding all over the place. Spenser and Brian got in our way at one point and we hit them right in the middle of their canoe like a T and it tipped them over! the water was so nasty and it so wasn't my idea to tip them over so i was scared for my life that they were going to come after us. while Jared and I were going really fast down this river he ran me into a tree... i was in front and he was in the back "stearing". it was good to see how well we worked together... and how we need to improve on somethings. It was a lot of fun everyone had lots of fun.

Colorado

Slowly but surely i will get all these pictures.
We went white water rafting while we were up at the family reunion and the people we went with said that the water was going to be freezing and that we would need wet suits and all this stuff so we all wore wet suits. Jared was so cute in his! How could you resist a body like that?! His cousin took a cute one but we haven't gotten a hold of her to get it sent to us so we only have this one for now.

i was straightening my hair one day when i came across this big guy... in case you can't tell what it is.. its a great big grey piece of hair!! Kendle checked for more and couldn't find any. i guess I'm just stressing way too much.

Pioneer Day!

Happy Pioneer Day!! weirdest holiday ever. ok maybe not. i love pioneers and i love that we have a day to celebrate them.. only in utah. So! because of Pioneer day i got off work at 1!! and now i have time to blog so here is a few things i should have blogged about a while ago!!

COLORADO!

i finally got some pictures of the family reunion in colorado. Not all of them but some.

ok so they were only the golfing ones but they sure are cute with their matching outfits!

DECORATING!...again??
Yup thats right! Kendle and i MOVED!... next door. we decided we couldn't stand the roofing smell that was coming in from when they fixed the roof and complained to the office. we ended up looking into 52 to see if it smelled and it didn't. so we protested to move and got the 50 dollars waved and taadaa we are here! its just us two right now and we are having so much fun decorating this apartment.

We went to the 12AM opening show!!! and like true fans that go to an opening night showing at 12AM we went all out!

we went to applebees for some free food thanks to mr manager! also to get some weird looks! it was great!

Kendle couldn't keep a straight batman face. so we went with smiles! love the masks!!

I take care of my baby

Jared had a head ache this Sunday and was complaining about it... a lot. i told him to go lay down and be quite and i would get him something cold for his eyes along with some pain killers. he did and it was really cute.

He did it again!

I guess i should enjoy this. Who knows how long he'll keep this up!

(The arranging was done by me of course) he brought them to me at work. too cute!

colorado

so once upon a time i went to Jared's family reunion. I haven't blogged about it because i have no pictures!! i hate blogging without pictures. Mainly because i hate reading blogs without pictures... its the same way with books... just kidding. So once i get pictures I'll blog more about it. Till then I'll tell you what to expect. So Jared and I flew up to Colorado Thursday morning... EARLY morning. We went to a resort there in Colorado. It was a nice place. Colorado is beautiful! The resort had a golf course which all the boys in Jared's family went golfing and i went swimming with all the moms and kids. There was a cute craft for people to do and stuff. We went white water rafting Friday morning. i almost died from how scared i was but i made it through. it was an experience... i might go again. i haven't decided yet. Friday was also the 4th of July so there was fireworks and stuff like that. We left Saturday. it wasn't that long of a trip and i left way more tiered then i came but it was fun. I can't wait to get pictures!

I Love Him

These were on my desk when i got home from work the other day.

Whenever i would talk about having a boyfriend.. in this case fiance.. i always wanted him to bring me flowers all the time. I'm pretty much the luckiest girl alive.

Monkey Bread

Once upon a time this kid in my ward was like "Lets get together and I'll make orange rolls and you can make monkey bread!" so i was like "uh ok". Yeah I've never made monkey bread! I do have the recipe from mom so i decided it couldn't be that hard. It called for 4 cans of biscuits. So i got 4 can of biscuits and fallowed the recipe exactly. It turns out that when this recipe was written the only kinds of can of biscuits is the skinny little ones. I got big ones. We cooked it and it over flowed and it burned on top. Good thing we put a pan with foil on it under the bunt pan or else we would have had a major mess to clean up! We took off the burnt part on top and it even tasted pretty good and put the rest of it back in to cook. It cooked pretty well. When we took it out and let it cool it looked pretty good. When it came time to take it out it turned out to be way too gooey on the bottom. We scooped it out and put it on a plate and it wasn't half bad at all! It just wasn't pretty and didn't look like mom's. I assure you there will be another attempt and this soon. Next time it'll be perfect!

reDECORATING!

so our lovely apartments decorations are being taken down because they are all Amanda's! lol so sad but kendle and i thought it would be a good time to make it something completely new! we love to do that. OH hello! Kendle moved up!! shes here!!! woohoo!!! ok so our first fun thing together was doing our apartment over. I LOVE IT!

Kendle and i originally wanted to do black white and brown in our room but we ended up getting the same black and white pillows! so that made me think of this brilliant idea of doing black and white as a theme for our living room. the black and white picture was done by ours truly Kendle! shes so talented and then the lines on the wall are done in duckt tape. we originally had a rug from target that was 30 bucks and half that size! but we went to Jo-Ann's to look at fabric to cover our other pillows and got two yards of shaggy fabric instead! its AMAZING! two minds are definitely better then one! we had so much fun doing this and it feels oh so nice to have a change!

The Biggest Day of my Life!!.. so far...

Saturday June 14th! Friday was Jared's birthday and he worked. so we were going to go do some stuff for him the day after! we went and got pedicures! yes that's what he wanted. I'm not the kind of girl that takes my boyfriend to do things i want to do on his birthday. anyway so we went to the mall and got there just in time. no one was there yet and right when we got seated a ton of people came in.

After we did that we went and got lunch at Bajio's. speaking of which Cafe Rio is way better. anyway! so we got lunch and then went to walmart to pick up some things for the camp fire we were going to go have that night. once we got home we had some time to spare so we played some rock band. i posted earlier about his cake i made but we sang to him after we were done with rock band. we went to my apartment and conveniently there were people there so that was nice. i didn't have to sing solo for him. i had got some trick candles but they didn't work so well.. i was a little disappointed. so here's some pictures with the cake

so annika was taking pictures as we were doing candles and things and it turned out that we didn't have the memory card in there. so we reenacted it...

somehow after talking to people and helping annika pick out an outfit for her blind date we lost a ton of time. we wanted to leave for the camp place by 4:30. we ended up leaving around 5:20. i had to run to the store and he had to pack up the car so we scrambled scrambled scrambled and finally got everything ready to go and the only thing we forgot was napkins! it was nice. so we drove up to the camp site and they had their best site reserved for us. it was the highest one up and didn't have many trees and the view was beautiful. it was still sunny out when we got there so instead of sitting in the sun we went for a little hike.. ok so it wasn't that little and i was wearing converse. its ok it was still pretty. we took some pictures.

After we were done killing our wonderfully soft pedicured feet with bad shoes on rocks we went back to the site and set things up. Jared got the fire started and i laid out the blankets and set up the computer and we started to cook our tin foil dinners. it was the first time I've done tin foil dinners by myself. they turned out really good. i put hamburger, onions, carrots, broccoli, tater tots and to top it off i threw in some cream of celery soup to make it all juicy and good. only one got a hole in it and even then it wasn't that bad. after dinner it started to get chilly so we had Jared's jackets and we brought lots of blankets. we were watching a movie when Jarad said he had some surprises for me. i was supposed to be giving him surprises! its his birthday for Pete's sake! anyway i started to get a little suspicious.. he had to be up to something... he asked me if i wanted my first surprise and i said yes and he pulled out this...

It was really cute. i love getting flowers. Jared always does a really good job at picking good ones out. so we set those aside and we watched the movie still and waited for the stars to come out. it was getting darker when he turned to me and said he needed to give me my second surprise before it got too dark. we were still laying down watching a movie so he couldn't possibly purpose then! instead he had me close my eyes and he pulled out these...

Real pearls! i was shocked! i love them!! and they will be perfect for a wedding... we continued to watch the movie and keep warm. i watched the stars. i love watching stars come out and seeing the sky get darker and darker. earlier when we were hiking and taking pictures Jared had me put his camera in his back pack so i did and i ran into this book thing.. all i saw was this paper with pictures of us i asked him what that was and he said it was a surprise. so i didn't ask much after that. so later he asked me if i wanted the third surprise even though i had already seen part of it and i said of course so we got it out and we went to go sit by the fire and read it...

it was really cute he had wrote and illustrated the story of us meeting and dating. it was really funny. so i was reading and laughing and then i turned to this page...

i was kinda surprised and didn't really know what to do. he got on one knee and pulled out a box. i sat there and just kinda stared... he said "you should probably stand up for this.." so i did and he said his cute little thing and of course i said yes! and we he stood up and we hugged and kissed and i was so happy and laughing! totally forgot about the ring. after a bit of that he was like " do you want to wear your ring??" so he put it on me and its beautiful and i love it! the rest of the night was just laughing and smiling. i couldn't control it. we ended up getting home about 12 exhausted. he went home and i went into my apartment and annika was up. she had gotten home from a blind date shortly before i got home and was really tiered too. i showed her the ring and there was a little freak out. she had heard from someone that heard from someone that heard from someone that it was going to happen that night anyway. so i told her the story and we talked about her date. annika being the cute self that she wanted to celebrate somehow but we just didn't know what and we were way to tiered anyways. so we took this picture and ate some leftovers. we will celebrate later but this is the picture we got...
