9 Months Old

Jacob turns 9 months today! Can you believe it? I sure can't. He has gotten so big.
As of today...
He is crawling very well. It started as an army crawl and he is getting better
He loves being mobile
He has two teeth
He loves being outside
He is not loving his car seat anymore
He loves discovering new places to go in the house
He talks a lot but no words or syllables yet
He is very good at putting up with all my love
He loves to clap but can't figure out how to do it himself yet
He loves to smack the kitchen floor
He loves to eat food. Sweat potatoes and peaches are his favorite
He loves bath time
He loves to brush his teeth
He has always been and still is a very good baby. People tell me all the time how lucky I am.
I love this boy more then i can put into words. he frustrates me once in awhile but I just have to take a deep breath and look at his sweet face and it melts away. I hope I can be like that when he starts making real trouble for me.
WARNING: lots of pictures!
Here he is standing. He loves to stand.

Discovering new places. Whenever I find him in a new place he always has a huge proud of himself smile on his face.

He likes to go back and forth from carpet to the kitchen

Then he gets tiered

He loves his daddy

I love his face

His two teeth

I went in to get him up from a nap the other day and he was just standing there hanging out. He's been sitting up in his crib a lot lately but this was the first time i saw him standing and i hadn't helped him up.

I need to fix lots of things in my house to make them baby proof... I just don't know how yet.

This was right after a nap. He had some serious bed head.

Bridal Veil Falls

Kristen and her family always makes me want to go out and do more fun things!
Her blog is always full of their fun adventures.
So we decided to have one of our own today!
We went to bridal veil falls and hiked around. Jacob loves being outside and he didn't even mind the cold mist in his face at the top.

The wind and mist was blowing in his face.

No Excuses

Sorry its been a long time and I can't think of any reasons why. To catch up here is a mod podge of things we've done in the last little bit.

 Bath time!
Also Jacob has found his voice and has been very vocal. At times it can be VERY loud.

We stopped using the baby bath and put him in the normal tub. He likes to take his baths on his stomach now.   He has always loved his baths.

Daddy has been working lots of nights lately which gives us the mornings with him. We like to walk to the park and hang out on a blanket. The weather has been very nice. Jacob was even nice enough to watch Me and Daddy play tennis.

Jacob has two teeth now. I blogged the first one and the second one came in right behind.. can you see them?

We Took a weekend trip up to Idaho to see Anna and baby Stella because we weren't able to make it to the her blessing. It was kinda nice because we had them all to ourselves. Anna even took our family pictures she got some really good ones and I can't wait to get them so I can fill picture frames and show them off.
On the way to Idaho we stopped for a potty break and to get some gas in the middle of nowhere and there were alpacas outside of the shop! How random.
I didn't trust this one... look at those teeth and I couldn't see his eyes.

This is your captain speaking

Once upon a time Jacob and I were on an airplane getting situated. I was distracted and not listening to the pilots saying something to the passengers when the pilot who was not speaking started asking about Jacob. We were in the front row. When all of the sudden he was like
"would you like a picture?"
Me "um...sure?"
"do you have a camera?"
 "Not on me..."
He said "Well I'll take it and email it to you! Come on we have 5 minutes till we have to take off."
and waved us to the cockpit. This all happened really fast. He took Jacob, I jumped into the captains chair, he handed Jacob back to me, and Jacob started screaming!

Both pilots were there one across from us taking the picture and another behind us. They were both trying to get him to smile. This was the second leg of our trip and Jacob had hardly slept. He cried the same way when daddy held him when we got home. Traveling days are no good for picture days.

Jacob's First Tooth

Well it has FINALLY happened!
Jacob has been grumpy for awhile now and we've just been waiting for this day. He showed no signs of a tooth coming. There was no fever, runny nose or diarrhea. So we weren't sure if it was really his teeth.
Now we know so I went and got some orajel today and it has calmed him some.
I also got some Tylenol just in case.

I have yet to get a picture of the actual tooth.

Lips sealed shut.

Almost!

I've been gone

So we finally had our summer vacation! We went to bear lake for my family reunion and then I went home to Tucson and left Jared home alone for two whole weeks! It was so much fun and I love love love Jared for letting me take our son and myself away from him for that long. It's nice to be home again but I miss my Tucson home and being with family.
I brought my camera with me to all these places but I hardly got it out. How silly of me. So I'm waiting for people to send me some they took and I will post them when I get them.
Until then I have these few pictures that I took
Alot of time was spent at the beach and on the lake. Jacob was good enough to take a nap on me so we didn't have to go back to the house
We went into town and got milkshakes

With our matching reunion shirts

The place we stayed was beautiful! It was a renovated store house.

I'm sad this picture is dark. Ben makes the funniest faces... can you kind of see it?
