Hair Cut!

I have been trying to grow my hair out for a long long time. I usually think my hair grows fast but its not growing fast enough right now. I'm so bored with it! and at this point i usually go get it cut off so i thought maybe if i just got bangs i will be happier. I'm always wearing my hair up at work so it'll make a ponytail look cuter too. I told Kristen this and some other people to see what they thought and Kristen put something else in my mind so i was hesitant because its so different and excited because i love trying new things in my hair and as always if a hair cut turns out into a disaster it will always grow out. SO i did it and this is what it looks like...

New House!

Well the Fong's and the McLaughlin's have combined under one roof. We didn't buy the house we are just renting but rent is a lot lower and we have a lot more space! (Good thing for Ethan because he runs all over the place) We aren't completely settled but i wanted to post some pictures. I've been talking about the house with a few people and they don't know what i'm talking about. This will give you an idea but even pictures don't so well. I also only took a few pictures i left out Jen and Michaels spaces. they will blog about those later and then you can piece them both together. SO heres some pictures.

This is our backyard. We have a church in the backyard. Its a stake building so it has baseball fields and a basketball court.

These are our SPROUTS!!! I love them. I don't even know what they are but i love outside plants!

And this is our dragon protecting our home. I haven't thought of a name for him yet but i'll get one soon.

There's a little taste of our house. I'm sure Fongolia will have better pictures and more explanation when they post about it. 

New Glasses

I got new glasses awhile ago. I love them. They might be too big for my face but... i don't care. I miss my  Coach ones but these are good too.

Tongue Tied

Who knew i was tongue tied? Well i did actually. Tongue tied people usually get snipped when they are little. That is the best time to do it anyway. This is what it looks like

 My tongue wasn't tied that bad but it was bad enough to get this done. 

This was as far as i could stick it out... and that was straining.

This is a really bad tie on a baby. 

Because i didn't get this done when i was young my muscles had grown up and around under my tongue so the "snipping" it didn't do all that much. 

Ready for the gross stuff?

 

This is the day of. I got it done at work.

What the doctor did was take a laser to it. He does lips too. He also uses the laser for shallow cavities and things like that. It looks like i had two connector things but what he had done was went too far into the muscle to try and get my tongue as long as possible. But a body being a body my body healed it right up. Making a nasty mouth scab.

 

This is day five. That white thing eventually fell off. (I'll spare you the details) 

And ten days from when i got it done I'm perfectly healed and look fairly normal. and this is how much length i got from it. 

 

This was taken the day of too. So its even shorter now because a body heals. 

Its amazing how fast the mouth heals. It fascinates me. Sorry if i grossed anyone out.  

Happy Valentine's

This was Jared and my 2nd Valentine's of our marriage. Seems like money gets less and less every year. So we kept it simple this Valentine's day and it was perfect. Jared made dinner, a delicious array of costco frozen foods. Delicious chocolate dipped strawberries that Jared actually dipped and decorated himself... at costco.  I set the table, cut out the hearts, lit the candles, put together a romantic playlist and arranged the roses that Jared brought home from costco. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's full of hearts, roses and chocolate!

Now Jared is doing homework and i think i just might go make some chocolate chip cookies...

Christmas in Heber City

Well i got some photos of Christmas from Anna and they are pretty much amazing. For those of you who don't know this year was McLaughlin year for christmas and Jared's parents arranged for us all to get together in Heber in a beautiful cabin. It was really crazy and way fun. I didn't get much time off from work but the time i got was amazing. Here's a ton of pictures lol...
