Easter

Easter is such a fun holiday and as I look back on today to say what we did I realize I thought mostly about dinner, egg hunts, and baskets more then I thought about the Resurrection of Christ. In young womans we ave been learning about the atonement all month. Here is just a little qoute to keep us in the true spirit of Easter.

"How ever late you think you are, how ever many chances you think you have missed, how ever many mistakes you think you have made or talents you think you don't have, or however far from home or family or God you think you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Jesus Christ's Atonement shines."
-Jeffrey R. Holland

So with that said we had a fun Easter. Jared had to work this morning which made the morning and church pretty stressful for me but we made it. Jacob loved finding his basket. Mae and Jacob both got a Peter Rabbit book.

He also got some cars

All ready for church.

I made Jacob's bow tie. It is kind of huge.

We had Uncle Devin and Uncle Michael over for dinner. They helped hide the eggs for Jacob.

He found a few and then got bored and found his plasma car.

Devin and Michael had some pretty good hiding spots.

Mae woke up near the end of it all and her eyes were still adjusting.

Wanting to swing instead of find eggs. Maybe I should put better stuff in them then bunny grams next year.

We enjoyed a small meal together of ham sandwiches and deviled eggs of course! After the kids went to bed we played a crazy game of Uno. We had so much fun with our uncles! Happy Easter!

Mae is 8 Months

She now has two bottom teeth and the top two are coming in soon.
She is the happiest of babies.
She has also found her voice and can scream like none other.
She loves her brother and loves her baths.
I can't believe she is so big already!

Jacob is 2

Jacob turned 2 on the 31st. It is really hard to get up the excitement to throw a birthday party right after Christmas and New Years. So the most fun we had for this little guy is Grammie and Papas gift came in the mail on his birthday. I didn't even wrap it. I feel so bad.

We had fun putting it together

Then I moved our table out of the way so he could ride it. Its a Plasma car. He doesn't really know how to work it yet but he scoots on it and loves it.

He also likes to push it.

This little 2 year old is...
Getting to be very independent
A very good helper
Saying more words like cookie and hot but not talking just yet
Doing the motions of popcorn popping and I'm so glad when daddy comes home
Loving to read
Still a picky eater
Becoming very silly.
We went to his cousins house for New Years Eve. We brought little cup cakes and sang to him. He stayed up till midnight and welcomed the new year with confetti poppers that were very scary.

We started the new years off with Jacob throwing up and both kids having colds but we have found some ways to still have fun.

And Mae got her first tooth! look real close!

Christams 2012

We started off Christmas Eve at Olive Garden as usual. Devin met us there and came home to stay the night with us.
Mae is looking so cute for Christmas
On our way home we drove around our neighborhood and looked at lights.
We got home read the Christmas story and opened jamies. Jared also let me open a family gift that was a blue ray player so we could watch a movie that night.

I made their jamies this year which probably won't ever happen again. Neither of their pants fit right and the applique on their shirts promptly fell off...
Jacob didn't want to sit next to his sister to take a picture.

This is Jared pretending to be Jacob not wanting to sit next to Devin for this picture. I got them the same kind of pants but different patterns. Mine were also the same fabric. I wasn't going to do Jamies for the big kids but I saw mine at Costco and had to get them.

Christmas morning!
Jacob woke up at a normal time which is pretty early. We walked downstairs to find this kitchen that Grammie and Papa got us. He loves it. He went right to it. The Kissells got us dishes and food so I let him open one of those.

While we were waiting for uncle Devin to wake up we opened his stocking. He got a new sippy and wanted milk in it right away. We also oovooed with Grammie, Papa and the Kissells.

Finally we woke Devin up and opened the rest of our presents. We were very blessed to get lots and lots of books, Mae's first doll, Jacobs first tool set and several other fun little things.

After breakfast while Mae took her morning nap we played in the snow.

You know you like my outfit. Pj pants, maternity coat and red boots.

We also got a snow man kit from the Kissells. the snow was not good snow to build a snow man so we made him laying down.

We had a very fun Christmas. We are so glad Devin stayed with us and helped us eat all the food I made!
