A Baby Shower and A Mom

Thank you to everyone that help with the baby shower! Especially Mom and Jen! It was beautiful and it was DE-licious!
Jen made this cute diaper cake.

We had lots of food. I requested it be a brunch. I just love breakfast food

The gift table.

Granny and Aunt Marcia. Granny won the nursery rhyme game and this was her prize. They were also the life of the party! Thanks for coming ladies! I love you both.

We opened presents and they weren't very flattering pictures. I loved everything I got! (most of it being from mom lol) This was from Nana I know she would want to see it. We missed her at the shower!

These are the other girls that came starting from the left Alayna, Amanda, me and Nicole. Thanks for coming girls!

This is after. I was going through everything I got taking off tags and getting ready to wash and organize everything.

This is everything set up and organized. I feel a lot more prepared for this baby to come! 6 more weeks

The very sad part about this whole thing is that I didn't get a single picture of Jen and I or of my Mom and I. But I wanted to say thank you, thank you to my mom. She came down for two weeks to help with this shower and to help me get prepared. I'm SO glad she did. Jen could have helped me and she has and will continue to but theres just something about your mom being here helping out. She brought me the pack and play and lots of other helpful things. She helped cook and take care of kids (Jen and Michael's kids). She also took care of me when I went to the Dr and found out that my blood pressure was too high and had to go on moderate bed rest. With her help and good food I'm at an ok blood pressure again but we'll see what happens now that she's gone. I love you mom and I'm so glad you came! We had tons of fun and everyone will miss you. I'll see you in 5 weeks!

Halloween

I thought about a few ideas on what Jared and I could be for Halloween. It turned out he was going to be working the night of the only party we could dress up for so I had to rethink. Jen's friend was a zombie the Halloween she was pregnant and Jen told me from the beginning thats what I should be. So as time went on and I had nothing planned a zombie it would have to be. All I needed was a white shirt, a baby doll and makeup. We ran to DI and walmart and I spent 5 bucks on the whole thing. The costume itself is kind of creepy but cutting a baby doll in half was probably the most creepy thing I've ever done. I was worried because this party was the ward party. I didn't know what peoples reactions were going to be. In the end I got a few weird looks, lots of double takes and mostly laughing so i'd say it went well.

Halloween Decor

While searching through blogs one Saturday i came across this really cute vinyl sign! Luckily i have an amazing sister in law that does vinyl and happened to be coming to Utah soon. I had her cute me some vinyl and then i did the rest. This was my first time doing vinyl but how hard could it be? Luckily this was a sign that didn't have to be on super straight because i didn't put it on straight and it was the most stressful thing i have ever done. I stained it after putting the letters on. The website said she used gel stain. I looked at Michaels, Joanne's and Roberts and couldn't find gel stain. I bought a couple things that looked and sounded similar but didn't work. Finally Hobby Lobby opened in orem and I looked there and they had it! Hobby Lobby is my new favorite place. I'm really happy it turned out and i'm happy that i got it done in time for Halloween.

Its Fall

I don't blog much apparently. I also don't take pictures with my camera anymore. most of these pictures are from my phone. Anyway here is all the fall things I've been doing.

Jared's mom and sister Anna came into town for Granny's birthday. We got to go to a pumpkin patch with them and Jared's brother Ryan's family.

While Anna was in town we went to a couple home decor stores and Jared really liked and let me buy these from Rodworks. I love them.

I made owl gingerbread cookies and ate them all myself... ok not really but almost!

I made tortellini soup. I love soup season and its getting cooler in Utah so soups on!

and finally I glittered some pumpkins to go next to some other Halloween things that I will blog later when its all put together.

Now on a different note I just wanted to share these

Jared brought them home for me they are beautiful. They are also Gerber daisies which aren't very strong and don't last very long. I should probably cut them down but i loved how long their stems are.

AND last but not least a story. A very scary, icky story that is for Kendle. If you do not like spiders do not scroll down to see the picture. I won't.
Once upon a time I wanted some ice cream. Jared and I have a chest freezer that Jared got for his birthday this year. It's in our garage. My biggest fear is when I go out to get something at night and its pitch black in our garage and i blindly reach out to turn on the light my hand will find a spider and not the light switch. So I go out to get ice cream, flip on the light, go to open my freezer, look up and SCREAM! There is a GIANT spider right in front of my face RIGHT next to the door. I run inside without closing the door and tell Jared and Micheal they have to get this spider as i'm trying to keep it together. I go into the other room and break down and start crying of all things (i blame pregnancy) and wait for that spider to meet its fate. I can hear the boys in the other room talking about how big it is and Jen refusing to go look. THEN they start talking about what they are going to catch it in. Michael catches it and sets on our porch (because Jen refused to have it in our house. Thank goodness) a container with a giant spider in it. The days go buy and Michael feeds it, watches it, is fascinated by it and even names it. While I have to be haunted by it everyday! At last I see he put the container in the garage, on the work bench in front of where I park, thinking he had disposed of his nasty pet. I pull in one day from work and see that IT's still in there. He brought it in so it wouldn't be cold.... really. really Michael. It is still there to this day. If only you could see my face as I tell this story. Anyway here's the nasty thing. If it doesn't look huge... well it is. The picture might not do it justice. I wouldn't know. It took all my courage to take a picture of the thing.

25 Weeks

Pregnancy update!
I got to experience what a sciatic nerve can do to you last Sunday. It started Saturday night and when i woke up Sunday i could barely walk! I seriously thought I was going to die. I limped out of my room and Jen was like "what is wrong with you?" I explained what I was feeling and her and Michael were both like "Welcome to pregnancy!" She told me it was my sciatic nerve so I went and googled it. The only ways of relief were message therapy, physical therapy or to stay off your feet. That wasn't going to happen. I'm on my feet all day at work! So the rest of that day I stayed in bed with my feet up, slept sitting up with my feet up and woke up with a little bit of discomfort. I went to work and warned people that I didn't know what was going to happen that day but it ended up going away instead of getting worse. It was completely gone by the end of the week. What a relief! I was so worried i was going to have this pain for the rest of my pregnancy and 3 months afterward! So that was a fun adventure.
I've been enjoying all the maternity clothes I've borrowed from my sisters. The dress I wore today I just HAD to wear my red heels with. We walk to church. Its not very far but if you've walked to church in 3in heels you would understand. I think it will have to be my last time wearing heels because half way through church my sciatic nerve started telling me my shoes were a bad idea. Hey I looked good so thats all that matters right?... until I can't walk anymore because of sciatica... We'll see what happens!
I haven't been doing very well with taking belly pictures. I think I've said this before. I did have people take some two weeks ago and then again today. So here they are!
This is 23 weeks.
I was taking pictures of myself when Michael asked if i wanted help.

This is 25 weeks
Jared's not capable of taking pictures... here's his attempt. You can see my baby bump pretty well its just blurry and kind of weird that he cut my head off.
Here's Jen's attempt. Not bad, not bad I'm just not a fan of pictures of me.
 Ethan wanted a turn
And then he wanted a turn taking pictures

Gotta love that kid. Also gotta love Ben! He is sure fun to have around as well. In Sunday school today he was cracking up laughing at the people behind us. Gotta love baby laughs too!

Travel System

Jared and I bought our travel system! I'm so excited! Its our first baby thing! I was so excited i took it out of the box and put it together and walked around the house pushing it. But of coarse we won't have a baby for another 4 months so we had to put it in the shed. Jared didn't want me to put it together and just wanted me to keep it in the box but there was no way i could do that.
This is the one i got

And here it is all packed up for the shed... : (
